Brits - Conjoined twins born at the Brits District Hospital in North West are in a stable condition, the hospital said on Monday.
“The clinical team at Dr George Mukhari Hospital will be meeting on Tuesday, however, the preliminary prognosis is that the twins are sharing a liver and they are still determining what else they might be sharing,” said hospital spokesperson Tshepo Mokono.
The twins, born on September 29, are joined at the abdomen.
They were transferred to the DR George Mukhari Hospital in Ga-Rankuwa, north of Pretoria, for a higher level of care.
