Mahikeng - A 28-year-old man from Majemancho in Mahikeng, accused of strangling his pregnant girlfriend to death at the weekend, is expected to apply for bail next week.
North West police spokesperson, Pelonomi Makau, says Aubrey Gopane appeared in the local Magistrate's Court today in connection with the murder of his 28-year-old girlfriend on Saturday at her home in Dithokong.
Makau says Gopane allegedly accused the deceased of having cheated on him with her ex-boyfriend. According to her Gopane went home and told his father about the incident after which he was taken to the local police station where he was arrested.
Gopane will appear in court again on Tuesday.
