Woman arrested in Bloemfontein for possession of abalone─── THANDI XABA 10:21 Thu, 08 Oct 2015
Bloemfontein - A 44-year-old Chinese woman has been arrested at her home in Pellissier, Bloemfontein after being found in possession of abalone.
Free State police spokesperson, Peter Kareli says woman, who owns a restaurant at the Windmill Casino in Bloemfontein, was arrested alongside a Chinese male chef who worked at the restaurant. He says the 48-year-old man was also not in possession of the legal paperwork to be in the country.
He says police made the arrest after receiving information about the woman’s dealings.
