Nampo 2015 hailed as a success─── SABRINA DEAN 15:13 Thu, 21 May 2015
Bloemfontein - Despite challenges in the agriculture sector such as the drought and political uncertainty, attendance figures for this year’s Nampo Harvest Day just outside Bothaville in the Free State were virtually on par with last year’s record numbers.
Nampo committee chairperson Cobus van Coller says there were just under 70 000 visitors again this year:

Grain SA CEO Jannie de Villiers said in a statement it was interesting that concern over land reform issues far outweighed worry about the drought. He adds that organisers consider the attendance of Agriculture Minister Senzeni Zokwana this year as a real feather in the cap for Nampo.
Van Coller meanwhile says the interest this year signifies the value of an event like Nampo in keeping agriculture roleplayers up to date with the latest trends and technology:

He says the committee meets on Friday to begin planning the fiftieth anniversary edition of Nampo, which takes place from May 17 to 20 next year.
