Malema to appear in Polokwane court next week─── 07:52 Sat, 22 Sep 2012
The expelled ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema is due to appear in a Polokwane court next week.
This follows the issuing of a warrant for his arrest yesterday. Malema's lawyer Nicqui Galaktiou says they're not sure in which court he will be making his appearance, but Malema's legal team is engaging authorities on it.
She said that according to her understanding, he won't physically be arrested before his court appearance. The exact charges against Malema is unknown.
The City Press reported earlier that Malema faces charges of money laundering, corruption and fraud relating to his Ratanang Family Trust and its share holding in On-Point Engineering, a company that allegedly made millions from Limpopo government tenders.
The SA Revenue Service meanwhile said it had nothing to do with the warrant.
