Johannesburg - Metalworkers union Numsa says it will be taking a revised wage offer to its members in the metal and engineering sectors who have been on strike since the beginning of the month.
Numsa spokesperson, Castro Ngobese, says it held a special National Executive Committee meeting on Tuesday night to consider a wage proposal tabled in the bargaining council by the department of labour.
He says Numsa's final decision on the matter will only be communicated once the offer has been considered by its more than 200 000 members countrywide.
Ngobese also slammed employer body Seifsa for making the offer public yesterday.
