Police reject Taegrin witness claim | News Article
Johannesburg - Gauteng police have rejected claims that a homeless man, electrocuted near the area where the body of Taegrin Morris was discovered, witnessed the crime.

The four-year-old was dragged behind his parents’ stolen vehicle for several kilometres last week as the gunmen sped off with him still strapped in with a seat belt.

He died a short while later and his body was later discovered in Boksburg next to the abandoned vehicle.
He was laid to rest in Reiger Park at the weekend.

Authorities have confirmed that a man living in an abandoned building close to the crime scene was found dead but have denied that he witnessed anything related to the crime.

Police spokesperson Colonel Noxolo Kweza says authorities are still investigating and no arrests have been made in connection with Taegrin’s death.

Authorities are offering a R100,000 reward to anyone with information on the hijackers.
