Mantashe compares EFF to Nazis─── 18:36 Tue, 29 Jul 2014
Johannesburg - ANC secretary general Gwede Mantashe has compared EFF tactics to those employed by the Nazis.
He says the EFF with its red overalls is the same as the way Adolf Hitler used brown shirts to mobilise support. Mantashe told reporters Nazis didn't start by killing Jews, but rather began with promises, the development of a uniform of brown shirts and the mobilisation of society.
The EFF has started wearing red overalls and domestic worker attire in legislatures across the country. This resulted in clashes between the party and the Gauteng legislature last week after they were told the overalls bearing the word "Asijiki" (we won't go back) on the back is not appropriate for the legislature.
Mantashe says the danger is that once it catches fire, anarchy and destruction becomes a trend in the country.
