Lesotho suspected coup: Resident says everything will be back to normal by Monday | News Article

Pretoria - The South African department of international relations has neither confirmed nor denied an alleged military coup underway in the Kingdom of Lesotho.

Dirco spokesperson Clayson Monyela earlier told media they are aware of the situation. He told OFM News Dirco and will issue a statement later in the day.

Meanwhile many people seem confused at the timing of the coup, with messages doing the rounds hinting that everything will be back to normal by Monday.

South African Gavin Hesketh works in Lesotho and says the timing of the alleged coup attempt doesn’t make sense.
