Johannesburg - Prospective police trainees are being warned about a possible recruitment scam doing the rounds on the Whatsapp messaging service.
National police spokesperson Solomon Makgale says there are no posts for police trainees at present.
He has warned prospective recruits to be on the lookout for scamsters who try to sell a guaranteed job in the police service.
Makgale says the current round of trainee recruits are scheduled to start training this month.
