Pretoria - South Africa has not finalised a deal with Russia to supply South Africa with nuclear energy.
This is according to the Department of Energy, who briefed media on the nuclear new build programme this afternoon in Pretoria.
Acting director-general Wolsey Barnard said what was signed between South Africa and Russia last week was only an inter-governmental agreement and similar agreements will be signed with five other countries including China, France and the USA.
