Cape Town - The State's 12th witness in the Shrien Dewani murder trial has maintained on the stand that he was told Dewani's business partner must be killed and that he only knew later that the woman in the back of his taxi was Dewani's wife.
Tongo this morning testified about phone conversations he had with Shrien, prior to his wife Anni's murder.
Video footage of Tongo dropping the Dewani's off at a restaurant in Somerset West were also viewed in court.
Daniel Nene reports that Tongo was grilled by defence attorney Francois van Zyl. He poked holes in Tongo's evidence, highlighting discrepancies in evidence he gave in court and a statement he gave police in November 2010.
