Post Office welcomes lower wage demand─── SABRINA DEAN 07:42 Fri, 31 Oct 2014
Bloemfontein - The SA Post office says it has welcomed a move by the Communication Workers Union in which it tabled a reduced wage demand but adds that long-term affordability must be considered.
Spokesperson Lungile Lose says the response is being considered within the bargaining forum.
Lose could not say how long it will be before there is further feedback, saying the negotiations and conversations between the SA Post Office and the various unions involved are continuing via the bargaining forum.
He says although CWU has said in media reports it is expecting a response by Monday, he is not aware of any agreement to reach an outcome by this date.
