Johannesburg - Many South Africans say Ellen Tshabalala did the right thing by resigning. Tshabalala yesterday tendered her resignation as the chairperson of the SABC board.
Social media has been abuzz with comments following the news. Some people say they are happy Tshabalala's left our public broadcaster. Others have called on the disgraced chairperson to provide proof of her qualifications. A parliamentary committee that probed the matter recently heard that although Tshabalala registered for her BComm degree in 1988 & 1996 with UNISA, she failed to obtain the qualification.
She also did not complete her studies in 1995. The committee and political parties have welcomed her resignation. The DA's Gavin Davis says the law must take its course.
