Port Elizabeth - Meanwhile, the Freedom Front Plus says the decision to deny medical parole to right-winger, Clive Derby Lewis, was a political one.
The party was reacting to the announcement this morning by Justice and Correctional Services Minister, Michael Masuthu, on the parole applications of apartheid assasin, Ferdi Barnard, former Vlakplaas commander, Eugene de Kock and the cancer-stricken Derby-Lewis, who's serving a life sentence for the murder of SACP leader, Chris Hani.
In denying medical parole to Derby Lewis, Minister Masuthu said when studying his medical records he discovered that the name on the pathology report was not that of Clive Derby-Lewis.
He also said that he did not show remorse for Hani's murder.
