Home Affairs' services soon more accessible─── 05:57 Tue, 24 Feb 2015
Johannesburg - Home Affairs says it's hoping to soon bring on board another partner to join its recently announced pilot project for smart ID applications.
Last week, the department said South Africans would be able to apply for their smart ID cards at some of the country's major banks, in a bid to make Home Affairs services more accessible.
From April, citizens will be able to apply at selected FNB, Nedbank and Standard Bank branches.
Department spokesperson Mayihlome Tshwete says they're hoping the SA Post Office will soon be a part of the project.
