Johannesburg - Paramedic company ER24 says they have attended to around 300 motorbike incidents since the beginning of the year.
Spokesperson Chitra Bodasing, says many bikers either lost their lives in the accidents or sustained serious or critical injuries.
Incidents included collisions between bikers and vehicles as well as bikers losing control of their motorcycles and crashing.
Several cyclists have also either been killed and critically injured.
ER24 urges all road users not to allow themselves to be distracted while on the road, not to speed, to keep their emotions in check and to wear appropriate gear.
