Cape Town - Fires that have been raging on the Cape Peninsula's mountains have been contained but are not under control.
The City of Cape Town says all agencies are working hard to manage the blaze - three days after it started in Muizenberg.
The City's J P Smith says currently firefighting efforts are focused on Lower Constantia Nek and the upper Tokai area, Clovelly, Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay, Hout Bay and Noordhoek.
He says about 500 people have been evacuated since the fire started, but most have returned to their homes.
