More cracks within Cosatu: Naidu─── 11:47 Tue, 31 Mar 2015
Johannesburg - Zwelinzima Vavi's expulsion from Cosatu as its general secretary is a reflection of the continuous disintegration of the labour movement.
That’s according to political analyst, Sanusha Naidu.
Vavi was expelled last night following Cosatu's special Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting. The embattled trade union federation has been dealing with its unions supporting either Vavi or Cosatu president Sdumo Dlamini.
Last month Vavi boycotted another CEC meeting. He was quoted as saying the CEC is only designed to help one faction.
Naidu says the latest developments are likely to divide Cosatu even further.
