Johannesburg - A man has been taken in for questioning after making allegations on social networking site Facebook that late Public Service and Administration Minister Collins Chabane was assassinated, Limpopo police said on Wednesday.
"Initially when he put the messages on Facebook we opened an inquiry, but after discussions with the senior prosecutor it was decided that the inquiry should be changed to criminal charges," Colonel Ronel Otto said.
Otto said the man had not been arrested, but was taken in for questioning.
Chabane and two bodyguards, Sergeants Lesiba Sekele and Lawrence Lentsoane, were killed when a truck allegedly made a U-turn in front of their car on the N1 near Polokwane in Limpopo last month.
