Man loses leg in another WC shark attack─── 08:14 Sun, 28 Jun 2015
Buffelsbaai - A man in his early twenties has lost his leg after he was attacked by a shark off Buffelsbaai just outside of Knysna, yesterday afternoon.
According to ER24's Pieter Rossouw, the man was surfing when the incident occurred.
His friends who were with him brought him to shore where paramedics provided advanced life support and he was airlifted to a hospital in George for urgent medical treatment.
It was the second shark attack to occur in the Western Cape in as many days.
Another surfer was bitten in Plettenberg Bay on Friday.
Bathers and surfers are urged to be cautious in the area following the incident, particularly with the start of the winter holidays.
