Wage negotiations in gold sector ongoing─── DANE BEISHEIM 18:14 Mon, 06 Jul 2015
Pretoria - Wage negotiations between unions Amcu, NUM, Solidarity and Uasa as well as the Chamber of Mines have entered their third set of three day sessions.
According to chief negotiator for the Chamber of Mines, Elize Stander, unions today responded to the Chamber’s economic and social sustainability agreement which was tabled last week.
She added that the offers made by the companies, which include AngloGold Ashanti, Evander Gold Mines, Harmony Gold, Sibanye and Village Main Reef, were geared towards sustainability and to avoid job losses.
