Krejcir and co. back in court for bail─── 08:13 Wed, 08 Jul 2015
Johannesburg - Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir and four others accused of the murder of Lebanese national Sam Issa will return to the Germiston Magistrate's Court on Wednesday to continue their bail application.
Krejcir, Mfaniseni Memela, Nkanyiso Mafunda, Siboniso Miya and Lybohir Grigorov are accused of murdering Issa in October 2013 and of other charges, including the illegal possession of weapons and ammunition, robbery with aggravating circumstances, and theft.
Issa was shot more than 30 times after stopping at a traffic light in his Audi Q7 on October 12 2013 and the five were arrested in connection with this in February 2015.
Some also face charges in other cases being held in the High Court in Johannesburg.
The bail application started on Tuesday but came to a halt after three of the accused changed their minds several times over whether they wanted to apply for bail.
Proceedings went ahead for Krejcir and Bulgarian Grigorov, both of whom said they would not flee the country, and had no intention of being violent.
The application was postponed to Wednesday for the prosecutor to clarify information relating to Krejcir's asylum application.
