Durban - An anti-human trafficking expert says the main challenge with human trafficking is that it is often discreet.
Thursday was World Day against Trafficking.
Monique Esmer says only a small number of victims are identified, with just 93 cases having been reported in South Africa in the last year.
She says to win the struggle against this crime there needs to be more education as evidence has shown some trafficked victims are not even aware of what is happening to them.
