Madonsela sad that she has to address parliament through the media─── 13:07 Mon, 03 Aug 2015
Pretoria - Public Protector Thuli Madonsela says she is deeply saddened that she has to use the media to address Parliament.
Madonsela is currently conducting a media conference to correct what she calls “misstatements and distortions” about her Nkandla report.
She says she hasn't met with President Jacob Zuma about the attacks on her and her office, but she wonders what he makes of it. She also referred to the late President Nelson Mandela.
On Thursday evening, Parliament’s Nkandla ad hoc committee used its ANC majority to vote against calling Madonsela to be questioned about her report into the R246 million upgrades to Zuma’s rural KwaZulu-Natal homestead.
