Crinums ready for Premier League opener against Flames | News Article

The Free State Crinums netball team are locked and loaded for their title defence of the Netball Premier League this evening during the opening round in Pretoria.

The Crinums will be thrown into the deep end from the word go when their face rivals, the North West Flames.
 
The tournament which is in its second year upgraded from abeing a Cup last season to a League this year in order to add more prestige to the event.
 
Last night in Bloemfontein the team for 2015 was announced at the small function, will all their stars as well as new faces in attendance.
 
Proteas stalwart, Maryke Holthauzen told OFM Sport that there won’t be too much pressure going into the tournament as defending champions.
 
Like any good skipper, Holtzhauzen added that the title defence will be a team effort, but said she thinks the usual suspects will be turning heads.
 
The action starts this evening with the Jaguars facing the Golden Fireballs at 17:45 and this will be followed by the Crinums versus Flames match at 19:25.
 
The final match of day one will see the Diamonds from the Northern Cape taking on the Kingdom stars at 20:55.
