Midrand - The nomination of additional ANC Youth League members is continuing after North West chairperson Collen Maine was elected as the new ANCYL president in Midrand, Johannesburg last night.
Youth League communications manager Keith Khoza says Maine was the only candidate who qualified for the position after more than an hour of nominations from the floor.
Former ANCYL deputy president Ronald Lamola was also nominated from the floor along with former ANCYL treasurer Pule Mabe.
The position of deputy president was filled by Mpumalanga leader Desmond Moela, Njabulo Nzuzu was elected secretary general, Thandi Moraka was chosen as his deputy and Reggie Nkabinde was elected treasurer general.
