Bloemfontein - South Africa’s swimming golden boy, Chad le Clos, won the bronze medal in last night’s 200m individual medley in the final night in the pool at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
 
The third place finished capped off at wonderful Games for the Durban swimmer, which saw him bag no less than seven medals.
 
Le Clos equalled Australian legend Ian Thorpe's record of seven medals in the Games during the medley.
 
The 22-year-old has now won 12 medals stretching over two Games which include the five medals from Delhi four years ago.
 
The 4x100m medley relay team of Le Clos, Cameron van der Burgh, Sebastien Rousseau, and Leith Shankland claimed South Africa's 12th swimming medal at the Games.
