Bloemfontein - South Africa’s lawn bowlers have continued flying the country’s flag high at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow by bagging another medal.
South Africa’s open trips team in the B6/ B7 /B8 won the gold medal against New Zealand at the Kelvingrove Bowls Club by beating the Kiwis 13-11 over 15 ends.
The gold brings South Africa’s tally to 32, of which 10 are gold, 10 are silver and 12 are bronze.
Team South Africa will be hoping for more medals this evening when André Olivier runs in the men's 800m final this evening at 20:50.
Cornel Fredericks was the fastest qualifier for the men’s 400m hurdles and runs are 21:15 this evening in the final.
Women’s 400m hurdler Wenda Nel runs at 21:25 in the women’s final.
