The Boks arrive in Perth | News Article

The Springboks have all arrived in Perth ahead of their Rugby Championship clash on Saturday.

The men in green-and-gold departed for down-under in two separate groups on Friday and Saturday evening, with the forwards boarding the latter flight in order to put in some extra-time on the training field.

"It’s always tough to play away from home, but we also see it as a challenge,” said Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer.

"It’s great to be here and all the players and management are excited to get down to business when we hit the training field on Monday.

The Boks will be looking for the third consecutive win in the tournament when they face the Wallabies following a double over Argentina, but the coach it's happy with their form.

"We trained very hard the last couple of days and a few more tough sessions are waiting for us this week. Although we got the results against Argentina, our standards are higher than how we performed on the field and we want to improve this weekend," Meyer concluded.

Veteran lock, Victor Matfield said the extra-time spent on the setpiece will be seen in the scrums when they take the win-less Wallabies.
Saturday’s Test at the Patersons Stadium in Perth kicks off at 12:05.
