FS U21 Women keep title defence alive─── 07:59 Thu, 23 Apr 2015
The Free State U21 Women’s hockey team are still on track to retain their IPT title after making it three wins in a row at the interprovincial tournament being played in Bloemfontein.
The champions beat Namibia 4-1 at the University of the Free State astro turf yesterday to be the only team to have won all their matches thus far.
Also in Pool A of the competition, North West and Eastern Province played to a 1-1 draw.
This afternoon the hosts, Free State and North West clash in a match which could see the champions finish the Pool tops.
In Pool B, Western Province, who were last years’ losing finalists trashed Free State B 10-0 to take their tally to 27 goals in three matches.
This afternoons’ big game between Free State and North West at the Varsity gets underway at 15:30.
