Lions weary of depleted Cheetahs | News Article
The Lions were dealt a major blow yesterday with the news that stalwart flank Derrick Minnie will miss the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery.

The side boast will a whole host of the loose forwards,  but coach Johan Ackermann told OFM Sport that Minnie bring tremendous value to the side.

The headline had over been dominated with the Cheetahs spate of injuries, will Heinrich Brussow, Willie le Roux and Coenie Oosthuizen among others all not playing due to injury.

The former Springbok lock however warned that they will be making a big mistake if they judge the Cheetahs on their log position or the team they are taking into the match.

Tomorrow afternoons’ crunch match for the Cheetahs at Emirates Airline Park kicks off at 17:05.

Meanwhile, Super Rugby action kicks off at 9:35 this morning with the Chiefs hosting the Western Force at the Waikato Stadium in Hamilton, and this will be followed with the Brumbies tackling the Highlanders at the GIO Stadium in Canberra at 11:55.
