Britain's former two-time light-welterweight world champion Amir Khan wants a crack at Floyd Mayweather junior later this year.
This comes after Mayweather beat Manny Pacquiao yesterday in a unanimous decision in Las Vegas in the Fight of the Century in a welterweight unification showdown that failed to live up to all the pre-match hype.
While a rematch between Mayweather and Pacquiao is not on the cards due to the pre-fight agreements, Mayweather said after the fight that he would only get in the ring one more time.
The 28-year-old Khan who is 10 years younger than Mayweather believes that he would be the ideal opponent to face the American in his final bout in September.
Khan has 30 professional bouts to his name with three losses and faces Chris Algieri in New York later this month.
