Free State police are still searching for three people believed to have been involved in the attack on the farm Rondekom near Lindley, which left 77-year-old Hein Smith dead.

Spokesperson Annelie Wrensch says clues at the scene indicate the involvement of three people.

North West police are also following up on information that could lead to the arrest of four men wanted in connection with the recent attack on a Coligny farmer.

Police spokesperson Sabata Mokgwabone says the search continues for the robbers involved in the assault on 66-year-old Peet Nortjé on his farm Kareebosbult last Wednesday. Two men, including a police clerk, were arrested shortly after the attack but were released because they could not be linked. Police are still waiting for results on blood samples taken from the two.

Meanwhile the two suspects arrested in connection with the attack on the elderly Kritzinger couple on their farm in the Vrede area will be back in court on Monday. Police spokesperson Peter Kareli told OFM News that Paul Mei Zulu, 39, and Thabho Shadrac Motloung, 31, are expected to bring a formal bail application.

They are facing charges of attempted murder, burglary and armed robbery.

Family spokesperson Ruan Combrink  says the Kritzingers are both still in hospital in Johannesburg in serious but stable condition.

Any person with information that could assist with investigations is urged to contact police.
