Le Clos unstoppable in Paris | News Article

South Africa’s Chad le Clos has returned to his very best form by winning no less than four gold medals during the Paris leg of the FINA Swimming World Cup.

The 200m butterfly Olympic champion made a clean sweep in the event and then went on to claim the men’s 200m backstroke in a time of one minute 57.81 seconds.

The 23-year-old Le Clos won butterfly events by adding the 100m gold to those he won in the 50m and 200m from the previous day.

He continued his blistering form in the 100m butterfly, posting a time of 51.04 seconds to win the race.

Cameron van der Burgh also struck gold winning the 100m breaststroke while Myles Brown once again had to be content with the silver medal, this time in the 200m freestyle.

The World Cup series takes a break before resuming with the third leg on 25 and 26 September in Hong Kong.
