Deneysville - The body of Bongani Mosia who went missing over the weekend with his friend at Deneysville in the Free State has still not been found.

Mosia’s friend Nthako Thithi’s body was retrieved from the Vaal Dam on Monday after police discovered the boys’ clothes next to the dam. Police spokesperson Thandi Mbambo says police divers are still searching for Mosia’s body.

Two suspects who were expected to appear in the Deneysville Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday in connection with the disappearance of the two seven-year-old boys were released on Tuesday. It was reported that the suspects, aged 21 and 32 respectively couldn’t be positively linked to the incident.

Mbambo said there were no visible injuries to Thithi’s body and they are still waiting for the postmortem results to indicate any other cause of death besides drowning.
