De Jongh to start for the Baabaas | News Article

Victorious Western Province captain, Juan de Jongh has earned a starting role for the Barbarians when they face the Wallabies on Saturday at Twickenham in London.

De Jongh will partner Francis Saili of the Blues in the midfield, in a predominately New Zealand starting XV.

As one of six South Africans in the match 23, De Jongh is the only one to get a starting role, excluding South African-born former England prop, Matt Stevens.

Sarel Pretorius, Heinrich Brussow, Marnitz Boshoff, Lourens Adriaanse and Thomas du Toit will all start off the bench in the side lead by Scottish lock, Allastair Kellock.

The Wallabies will be playing in their first match under new coach, Michael Cheika, who got appointed after Ewen McKenzie walked out on the team following their last minute 29-28 loss to the All Blacks earlier this month.
