Eyes on Cecil Afrika and Blitzbokke─── 09:33 Fri, 12 Dec 2014
Blitzbokke removed obstacles within themselves to improve their performance in the third leg of the world series in Port Elizabeth this weekend, said the Springbok Sevens captain Kyle Brown at a pre-tournament press briefing in Port Elizabeth as they prepare themselves for the two day 3rd leg of the world series.
Except for expecting improved play by the Blitzbokke, all eyes will also be on player Cecil Afrika who needs 11 point to improve the record of most scored points by a South African Sevens’ player.
Afrika made his debut for the Springbok Sevens team in 2009 and was singled out in 2011 when he was named the IRB 7's Player of the Year after starring on the HSBC Sevens World Series, scoring 40 tries and a total of 385 points.
