The Crusaders will tackle the Sharks on Saturday in the Super Rugby with the services of All Black flyhalf, Dan Carter.
The leading points scorer in Super Rugby has jetted back home to Christchurch in order to be with his wife for the birth of their second child.
Carter who has been playing at inside centre of late donned the number 10 jersey last week during the sides 31-19 loss to the Bulls in Pretoria.
Nineteen year old Nathanial Apa has replaced Carter in the squad.
Meanwhile, coach and former captain of the Crusaders, Todd Blackadder has admitted that they are feeling the heat a little with three wins from six matches.
The Sharks and Crusaders face each other at Kings Park on Saturday afternoon at 15:00.
