Lorgat rubbishes SMS report─── 08:01 Wed, 01 Apr 2015
Cricket South Africa CEO Haroon Lorgat has rubbished reports regarding the alledged text message sent to national coach Russell Domingo in the early hours of the morning ahead of their Cricket World Cup semi-final against New Zealand.
Sadly, seamer Vernon Philander is at the centre of the saga, after the reported SMS gave Domingo an ultimatum on fielding an extra player of colour for the match.
According to reports, Domingo was instructed to select either Farhaan Berhadien above Rilee Rossouw or Philander ahead of the in-form Kyle Abbott.
In a statement Lorgat said no such message was sent, nor did he speak to any journalists representing a national daily.
