2013 Wimbledon champion, Andy Murray of Britain has knocked South Africa’s Kevin Anderson out of the Miami Open to advance to the quarter-finals.
The win over South Africa’s leading men’s singles player saw the Scot record his 500th career win since turning professional.
Murray beat the South African 6-4, 3-6 and 6-3 to secure his place in the last 8 of the tournament.
Murray is the first British man, the ninth active player and the 46th man in the post-1968 Open Era to achieve the 500-win feat.
In the other 4th round matches, Japanese fourth seed Kei Nishikori, dispatched Belgium's David Goffin 6-1, 6-2.
Czech eighth seed Tomas Berdych advanced thanks to a mid-match withdrawal from France's injury-hit Gael Monfils.
David Ferrer beat Gilles Simon, the USA’s John Isner knocked out Canada’s Milos Roanic and world number one, Novak Djokovic advanced at the expense of the Ukraine’s Alexandr Dolgopolov.
