SA U20's sweat against VC Dream Team | News Article

The Springboks U20 rugby team was made to work hard for their 31-24 win over the Varsity Cup Dream Team in Stellenbosch last night.

The invitational team looked the better of the two in the opening forty minutes at the Danie Craven Stadium thanks to a solid display by the forwards which saw them leading 12-8 at the break.

The Dream Team outscored the BabyBoks in the try department by four tries to three, with each side earning a penalty try, however the lads in green-and-gold opted to take shots on goal when they were on offer.

The thrilling game went down to the wire with the game becoming expansive towards the end.

Toyota Cheetahs bound Dream Team captain, Reniel Hugo said they were looking to play a Barabarians style of rugby against the Junior Boks.

Dawie Therons’ U20 Springboks are currently based in Stellenbosch in preparation for the 2015 World Rugby Under 20 Championship in June in Italy.

Scorers:
