Griquas focus on Currie Cup qualifiers─── 08:22 Tue, 19 May 2015
The Griquas have put Friday evening’s Vodacom Cup quarter-final loss to the Pumas behind them as they now shift their attentions to qualifying for the Currie Cup premier division.
The side from Kimberley fell short against the team from Nelspruit with a 28-14 loss, which left the Griquas faithful disappointed.
After losing just one game in their robin-round, the loss came as bit blow to the team, but coach Peter Engeldow feels its’ not the end of the world.
The team are beginning their preparations for the Currie Cup qualfiers, and Engeldow told OFM Sport that with inured and Toyota Cheetahs players returning to their ranks, the team is in a good place.
The Griquas will have to battle it out from next month with the six other teams from the First Division for a spot in the worlds’ toughest domestic competition.
