Springbok lock Lood de Jager is set to miss this weekend’s Super Rugby match between the Toyota Cheetahs and the Bulls in Pretoria.

The Cheetahs and Springbok have been hoping the player would recover in time in order to get some game time before the end of the competition.
 
An elbow injury during the Cheetahs 35-29 win over the Sharks in Durban in their opening match of the campaign has seen De Jager play just 10 minutes of rugby this entire seen.
 
This could see Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer deploying the tall lock against the World Team at Newlands on 11 July.
 
Meanwhile, Franco Smith with name his team to tackle the Bulls today and could see the return over numerous players.
 
Saturday’s match at Loftus Versfeld kicks off at 17:05.
