Wana withdrawn from Bafana squad | News Article

Bloemfontein Celtic striker, Vuyisile Wana has been withdrawn from the South African national team to face Mauritius on Sunday in their 2016 CHAN Qualifier second leg.

The former Moroka Swallows marksman was one of three Phunya Sele Sele players named in the original 18-member squad, of which the bulk beat Mauritius 3-0 in their first leg.

The others are defender Wandisile Letlabika and midfielder, Musa Ntayama.

While, Wana was signed as a striker by the men in green-and-white, Bafana Bafana coach has opted to deploy him as a midfielder.

Thabo Mnyamane of the University of Pretoria has been named as a replacement for the match on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Camaldine Abraw saga could possibly end tomorrow with the case being heard by the Premier Soccer League Dispute Resolution Council.

This comes after the player reportedly signed a three-year pre-countract with Celtic, but was unveiled as a Kaizer Chiefs player last week.

Should the Togolese international be found guilty of sign a contract at both clubs, he could receive a six-month ban.
