The ORC Griquas will be focusing on their discipline this weekend when they tackle the Griffons in their Currie Cup Premier Division qualifier in Kimberley.
The Peacock Blues shot to the top of the standing after three rounds following their convincing and important 48-21 win over the Leopards last weekend in Potchefstroom.
While the Griffons have had a less than desirable campaign, they are still the defending first division champions and can cause a big upset this weekend.
Assistant coach, Peter Engeldow told OFM Sport that one thing they’ve learn is that they cannot afford to underestimate any teams in the competition.
He added that having conceded a ton of penalties against the Leopards last weekend, they discipline will be key come Saturday afternoon.
Saturday’s big central South Africa derby in at Griquas Park kicks off at 15:15. On Friday evening the SWD Eagles host the Boland Cavaliers in George and giants killers, the Border Bulldogs entertain the Valke in East London.
The Leopards have a bye-week, while both of Friday evenings’ fixtures kick-off at 19:00.
