Habana not thinking about records | News Article

Springbok winger Bryan Habana is trying not to think of records are the team starts wrapping up their preparations for their Rugby World Cup match against the USA tomorrow.

Habana is currently three tries away from equalling All Blacks great Jono Lomu’s record of 15 World Cup tries.

The speedster is also the third highest try scorer in test rugby with 61 tries and one away from equalling Japan’s Daisuke Ohata's record for the most tries as a wing.

Ohata is currently the test record holder one 69 tries, while Wallabies great David Campese crossed the white-wash 64 times.

Habana, who has scored 2 tries at the current World Cup thus far says he is aware of the records, but for him the team’s success comes first.

The Springboks match against the Eagles tomorrow evening at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park gets underway at 17:45.
