Bloemfontein Celtic has rubbished reports that coach Ernst Middendorp has been axed.
This comes after reports surfaced that the German-born mentor had been axed and that former coach Clinton Larsen was said to take over his role he quit last year.
Celtic lost 3-2 in extra-time to AmaZulu over the weekend in the Telkom Knockout, which lead to the rumours.
The top brass of the club called for a press conference this morning, where it was said Larsen would have been unveiled as the coach.
Instead, chairman Max Tshabalala emphasised the clubs support for Middendorp and revealed that new signings have been made, and two more negotiations are set to be concluded shortly.
Tshabalala confirmed that Jacky Motshegwa, Lethola 'Kanu' Mofokeng and Mukuka Mulenga hve all been contracted by the club.
He further added that two other signings will be revealed once the negotiations are concluded.
