AFCON 2015 could be heading to South Africa | News Article

The 2015 Africa Cup of Nations could very well be hosted in South Africa against after Morocco has called on CAF to postpone the tournament.

The north African country who are scheduled to host the tournament in January and February next year asked the continents football governing body to postpone the tournament due fears of the  Ebola virus spreading.
 
Morocco feel the crowds at the tournament could help spread the disease.
 
South African Football Association president, Danny Jordaan, will be meeting with CAF in Namibia this week to discuss the possibility of the tournament being staged in South Africa once again.
 
Should South Africa get the green light to host the tournament, it would become the first country to host the showpiece in consecutive tournaments.
 
The 2012 tournament was also moved to South Africa, after the it was originally scheduled to take place in Libya. The deadly revolution in the north African country saw it being staged down south for the second time, after it was hosted and won the tournament in 1996.
 
Meanwhile, Bafana Bafana, host Congo in Polokwane this evening at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in the return leg of their qualifiers. Bafana won the away leg this past Saturday when they beat the Congolese 2-0 in Pointe-Noire
