Bafana at ease after qualifying | News Article

Bafana Bafana are at ease after qualifying for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations which will now be hosted in Equatorial Guinea.

South Africa secured a 2-1 win over Sudan on Saturday afternoon in Durban to book their spot in next years’ finals, with a game to spare.

The side travels to Nigeria this week where they will be put against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

While Shakes Moshaba’s side have qualified, the defending champions need to beat South Africa to qualify.

Meanwhile, new goalkeeper Darren Keet said the side will move on now after Saturday’s match and qualifying was in the honour of late captain and keeper Senzo Meyiwa was tragically shot and killed last month.

The Doncaster Rovers midfielder added that he was honoured by the positive reception form the fans after been given the captains armband.

Furman’s every touch was met by calls of ‘Mluuuungu’ and 'Deeeean', reminiscent of the days when fans took to Matthew Booth.

Wednesday nights’ match at the Uyo International Stadium kicks off at 19:00.
